Who we are
Colin studied Religion and Philosophy at UVM. He wanted to understand the real meaning of life. He started working as a Personal Care Assistant and Paraeducator at Edmunds Middle school in Burlington Vermont. However, he realized that the real work couldn’t be done inside the school system, both literally and figuratively.
So he started volunteering for ReTribe in 2015. He was ecstatic about finding a group of educators who valued wild play, child’s independence, the importance of imagination, of original skills, of earthly knowledge, and of community. For years he apprenticed, and then became a mentor and then became the lead mentor. Over these 8 years, Colin learned how to run a successful nature program.
By believing in the power of children, we can make the world a better place. Children are the vessels of change, of potential, and of power. If we invest our time, energy, money, resources, love and happiness into them, they will flourish and grow to flower and fruit and cause abundance wherever they go on the earth. This is a good thing.

This is the oldest chestnut tree in the world in Sicily, Italy, It is estimated to be between 2,500 - 4000 years old. If this tree can make food and shelter for thousands of years, we can certainly create abundance in our community.
